Spotlight on… driver health & wellbeing

24 March 2021

Research has revealed that psychological wellbeing not only leads to good health (the body-mind connection) but also has other positive side effects that organisations need to be aware of, and clearly indicates that employees who are well and happy are more efficient and safer workers.

And we know that driving alone all day, the stress of battling with the clock, and all the rest of it, doesn’t make things any easier – so Highways England and Driving for Better Business have teamed up with CALM to help you get your drivers through tough times.  20,000 driver information packs are available for employers to place in their vehicles. The packs contain a flyer and stickers to go inside commercial vehicles, making drivers aware of CALM’s free and confidential helpline and webchat for anyone who needs to talk about the issues they are facing.

A webinar delivered by Global Fleet Champions on 15 April will present the latest research on what really determines good health, wellbeing and safety of employees in organisations. It is for anyone who is interested in providing a positive work culture so that employees can flourish – bringing their best version of themselves to work, displaying resilience for combating adversity and keeping themselves safe during challenging, hazardous work and driving situations.
