Star Rating for Schools - Five YearsOn

17 February 2025

The five-year success of the global Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) Program helping to make school journeys safer and healthier for vulnerable youth in 76 countries has helped improve the safety of more than 458,700 students on their journey to school, with global partners performing assessments at 1,940 schools in 76 countries informing US$4.84 million of infrastructure upgrades.

SR4S’s 5-year impact was celebrated during the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, at major donor FIA Foundation’s pre-event ‘Challenge 2030 – achieving the global road safety goals’, alongside program lead partners and child health advocates who have championed its success since its pilot from 2011 and launch in 2020.
