Education over punishment as Cumbria launches speed awareness course
The TTC Group has successfully won a major contract from Cumbria Constabulary to run Speed Awareness Courses in the county to re-educate speeding drivers and cut the region’s road collision toll.
The scheme, being phased in from this month, means motorists who stray a few miles over 30 mph speed limits in Cumbria can opt for four hours of classroom education from driver training specialists, the TTC Group, which already runs the county’s drink-drive rehabilitation courses.
