30 July 2024

King Fahd Causeway , one of the world’s longest bridges over water connecting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, has achieved a 4-star iRAP Star Rating Certification for safety.

The four-lane 25 km long causeway is a series of interconnected bridges connecting land and sea, with a 660,000 square metre artificial island in between.

Built in the 1980’s and managed by King Fahd Causeway Authority, the Causeway is an impressive engineering feat that has brought numerous economic and social benefits to both kingdoms and the region in general.
